Welcome to Gowan Brae Estate
Our vineyard is located at Inglewood on the Southern Darling Downs in Queensland. As Queensland wineries go, we enjoy a fairly unique grape growing season with very cold winters and long hot summers.
The vines at Gowan Brae stand on elevated, deep, fine red sand which they thrive in. A usually dry, warm ripening period in the late summer allows for rich colour and flavours to develop in the grape to produce robust, full flavoured and highly enjoyable wines.
Our winemaker adopts a minimalist approach in the winery to produce wines that exhibit the desirable traits instilled by the deep red sands the vineyard stands on. Our philosophy is to nurture superior fruit quality as we believe that great wine starts in the vineyard.
