History
An established vineyard, Gowan Brae Estate was acquired by the McDougall family in 2006. With the vines in a neglected state we set about the arduous task of resurrecting the vineyard to its former glory. Choosing to forgo a crop in the 2007 season we pruned heavily and began to reshape and train vines.
Being from the land in the Inglewood region for 4 generations we knew the potential of the varieties planted on the Gowan Brae site and with a lot of hard work we have achieved our goal of producing top notch wines. We constantly look to improve our operation and quality to produce the best possible product and look forward to developing a new and exciting Queensland premium wine growing region.
